Well, it was our first Thanksgiving with Little Man. The day started out with work phone calls at an ungodly hour. Remember how I said this is my busy season? You can probably deduce that from my lack of posts here lately as well.
But the early wake up call got me started on the cooking and cleaning while Little Man was still resting. I made potatoes au gratin, zucchini and squash casserole, green bean casserole, and a turkey. Hottie came home while the turkey was roasting and made the stuffing, put the jellied cranberry sauce on a plate and made some homemade gravy. It was a lot of food for just two people eating it. It was too much food for just two people, but we had to show our new arrival what Thanksgiving is and how we do it.
I’m thankful this year. For my family, my friends, my health, my sanity. For so many things.
